How Does A Mobile Medical Alert Device With Fall Detection Work?
Using a combination of sensors and software, the fall detection pendant detects changes in motion patterns. When the fall detection pendant detects changes that indicate the wearer has fallen, it announces that a fall has been detected and contacts the monitoring center.
What Happens When You Press The Mobile Medical Alert Button?
When the Mobile Medical Alert system is activated, it automatically and instantaneously contacts our US-based Medical Alert Monitoring centers. We have a team of trained emergency response professionals who are ready to answer when you push the help button and are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. When the high speed (two-way) connection is complete, you’ll hear the reassuring voice of one of our US-based, EMT/EMD-trained Life Safety Operators.
In the event that the wearer has not fallen and the signal was triggered, you can cancel the call by pressing the button twice.

How Does GPS Tracking Work With A Mobile Medical Alert Device?
The HOME & AWAY Mobile Medical Alert Systems use a combination of GPS, Cellular Tower Triangulation, and Wi-Fi to determine your location. Cellular tower triangulation provide a broad area, GPS and Wi-Fi can pinpoint a user within a few yards of their actual location. The location coordinates are sent to our Emergency Response Center agents to locate the user's location. Caregivers that download our RemoteCare 24/7 smartphone app can locate the mobile alert device on their smartphone.
Does The Mobile Medical Alert System with GPS work both inside and outside the home?
Yes! The advantage of our HOME & AWAY mobile medical alert systems with GPS is that they work both inside the home, and when you are away from home. Our cellular coverage uses 4G LTE which is available in all 50 states. When your mobile medical alert device is at home, we know your "home" location and will dispatch help to that location. When you are outside of the home, the mobile medical alert device transmits your location to our emergency response center and we know which agencies can dispatch help to that location. So when your mobile medical alert system is outside of the home you'll always be able to get help.
