Fall Detection and Fall Prevention Among Seniors
Falls are the leading cause of injury and death among seniors. So it's important for everyone to take falls seriously, and do everything possible to prevent falls in the home, and outside of the home.
Automatic Fall Detection (we call it "AutoFALL") is a proven technology that can initiate a call to our emergency response center when a fall is detected*. Here is how this device will work:
Imagine you are in the kitchen and you slip and you injured your hip. Now you have trouble standing up and need help, but no one is there. With automatic fall detection, the sensors in your fall detection pendant will register the fall and send a signal to our emergency response center*. Trough the speaker an EMT/EMD-Certified Operator will ask you "Mr/Mrs Jones this is the emergency response center, do you need help?" You can answer back, if that is not possible the operator will notify one of the persons on your emergency contact list, and/or dispatch EMS.
